The Farm

Taking care of the land is important to Owners Damien and Emily. In recent years as Emily has been learning about organic and regenerative agriculture, they’ve been working hard to implement some of these practices onto the farm. It began with a small vegetable patch using organic growing principles, and has grown into multiple gardens, vegetable patches and orchards, with hundreds of different plants, trees, herbs and flowers now featured at the property. Scattered around the property amidst the dams and a vast lookout over neighbouring valleys, are miniature Galloway cows Ralph and Daphne, a small flock of Dorper sheep and a free-range coup with a variety of heritage breed chickens – all are the extended family of two much-loved dogs Rocco and Max. The introduction of so much biodiversity has brought native flocks of ducks, wallabies, orange tipped black cockatoos, white breasted herons, and so many more native wildlife, which can be regularly seen around the property. Damien and Emily see their responsibility to the land as a continuing journey of lways striving for better land management practices, and working in harmony with nature.
